Madi Prewett talks Bachelor experience, standing firm in her faith in new book

HUNSTVILLE, Ala. (TENNESSEE VALLEY WEEKEND) - It’s been almost two years since Alabama native, Madi Prewett, was on season 24 of The Bachelor. While many know her as the girl who left the show when she was one of the final two women waiting for a possible engagement, she is an author, a speaker and all-around an amazing person.

Prewett, an Auburn grad raised in Alabama, now shares what her experience was like when she was on one of the world’s most-watched shows.

In her new book, “Made for this Moment,” Prewett touches on her time on the show, but mainly focuses on what prepared her to stay strong in moments of chaos and confusion.

“I am able to stay true to myself not because I am strong in the moment of pressure, but because I was strong in the moments of preparation,” Prewett says in her book.

“Made for this Moment,” explores the book of Esther in the bible, looking deeper into the moments that challenge and change you. While not everyone is challenged on national television, we all have stories that make us feel less than. Prewett writes to let others know that you are far from less than, but you are made for such a time as this.

Prewett explains how she felt a conviction to start writing long before she was on The Bachelor. What for? She didn’t know. But she knew she wanted to see her generation live out their faith with courage and conviction.

“I’ve had my moments of folding under pressure and I’ve had my moments of standing firm. So, talking about what it has looked like in my own personal life and trying to empower people where they’re at was really my heart behind writing this book,” Prewett said.

The 25-year-old explained how when she left the show she was constantly asked how she stayed true to herself and handled the pressure. Meanwhile, she had already been writing about it.

Referencing Acts 20:24, she says her story is so much more than herself. Her goal with her new platform is to point others to Jesus, and she wants others to know her confidence and her peace don’t come from her, but from who she puts her faith in.

“Made for this Moment: Standing Firm with Strength, Grace, and Courage,” is out now and available wherever you buy books.
