Wafel-Bitte shows the recipe to upgrade your breakfast

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (TENNESSEE VALLEY LIVING) - The creators of Wafel-Bitte joined Tennessee Valley Living Tuesday to talk about their waffles and how they make them.

Wafel-Bitte was created near the beginning of the COVID-19 outbreak when Bailey Erickson and her daughter Alexis were looking for something to do at home. Bailey wanted to teach her daughter how to take an idea and turn it into a reality.

The two lived in Europe prior to moving to Madison and were familiar with Belgian waffles and how to make them. After noticing a lack of places selling Belgian waffles, they decided that’s what they would do.

Belgian Liège waffles are richer and denser than the traditional waffle and are a combination of brioche bread dough and chunks of pearl sugar.

After a little experimenting and sampling, the recipe was perfected. Wafel Bitte has been honored and has won multiple awards for its delicious recipe.

The award-winning waffle mix is in seven stores in the Tennessee Valley and can be found online at https://shops.wafelbitte.com/.
