HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (TENNESSEE VALLEY LIVING) - A taste of the Mediterranean is here in the Huntsville with Taste N’ Thyme. Taste N’ Thyme is a woman and mother owned business by Cilem Shaffer and Nuray O’ Connell. Every Sunday, Taste N’ Thyme sets up a booth at the Market at Mid City.

The two mothers wanted to bring their heritage and culture and share it with those in North Alabama. Keeping it a way to stay in touch and share their background in cooking. Cilem and Nuray came up with the idea to make different flavors of Baklava. That way they can keep a wider audience wanting to try something new!

Both of their husbands were stationed in Pearl Harbor and became closer, after some years, Nuray and Celim met again here in Huntsville and decided to start a business together. Everything just kept bringing them back together, so it was a meant to be friendship and business.
