HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (TENNESSEE VALLEY LIVING) - This Saturday, April 20, the town of Fayetteville, Tennessee will gather downtown to celebrate the unique culinary tradition of the “Slawburger,” a burger born in 1923 at Honey’s Restaurant.
This year’s Slawburger Festival will feature over 60 food and artisanal vendors plus an expanded Kids Zone that surrounds the Lincoln County courthouse.
Main Street Executive Director Aimee Byrd says, “We hosted over 10,000 guests on our square last year. We’re keeping the traditional elements that everyone looks forward to each year, but we’re kicking everything up a notch! We’re incorporating a retro theme from our t-shirt design to participating vendors including a 1977 VW van converted into a photo booth. Festival goers will receive a free photo strip courtesy of Elk River Trading Co.”

The Slawburger Festival has been a beloved tradition in Fayetteville since 2015 and draws thousands of visitors from across the region each year. It is a great opportunity to experience the unique flavors and culture of this small town in Tennessee. Funds raised through the festival are invested back into the downtown community through the Fayetteville Main Street non-profit organization.
