HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (TENNESSEE VALLEY LIVING) - The Tennessee Valley is home to a fast-growing live entertainment scene that’s giving local artists new opportunities to showcase their talent at venues and events all over the area. Talent can be found in every corner, and we’re shining a spotlight on those stars through the series, ‘Sounds of the Valley.’
This time, we’re introducing you to Zami Maré. She’s a homegrown talent with roots right in Athens, Alabama. She still lives in the area today and says that she is thankful for the growing music opportunities in the area, which are giving her a platform to showcase her passion.
“We just don’t have the access like, you know, Los Angeles or Atlanta, NY. I’m glad that today we do have access, and we can be heard.”
Maré is also an artist affiliated with Heard First Huntsville, a project that invests in local creatives through artist development and networking opportunities. She says that being a part of the group feels like being a part of another family that truly cares about her best interests, both professionally and personally.
Not only is Maré talented with the pen and behind the microphone, but she is also an actress with several credits under her belt so far.

Looking at her life away from the stage and screen, Maré got candid about life with her family. She is a devoted mother and wife.
“...I usually am good about scheduling my hours during the day because the kids are at school. My husband’s at work ...I am doing this full-time.”
When asked how she juggles all those responsibilities on top of a career in the entertainment industry, she said it wouldn’t be possible without a strong support system behind her.
“What makes it so much easier is that I have a supportive husband. But he knows that a few days of sacrifices that I have to make, and he understands that.”
