HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (TENNESSEE VALLEY LIVING) - When family dynamics change, whether it’s due to sudden tragedy or other extenuating circumstances, sometimes grandparents have to take over the parental role for their grandchildren full-time.
The adjustment is not an easy one to make for the children and adults involved, but there’s a group that wants to help make the load more manageable.
Founder & President Keith Lowhorne stopped by the studio to chat about how his group, Grandparents as Parents (GAP), aims to support families going through changes in their dynamics by providing a one-stop shop for supplies and resources that can help make the transition smoother.
