HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (TENNESSEE VALLEY LIVING) - Everyone’s life journey looks different from one another. However, for people living with disabilities and other exceptional needs, sometimes the road to independence is more difficult to navigate. There’s a Shoals-based organization that’s aiming to make the path easier through a variety of resources.

Dustin and Chad Phillips stopped by the studio to chat more about how the Chadwick Foundation, named in Chad’s honor, is leaving its mark on the community. Dustin, the organization’s founder, shared the foundation’s mission: to empower individuals with exceptional needs through education, life skills development, advocacy, and community connection.

The Chadwick Foundation offers a community-based program that bridges the gap between school and adulthood, providing individuals with a supportive and inclusive environment that fosters independence, confidence, and purpose.

Additionally, significant additions in 2026 include a partnership with Legacy Park Homes to support residents in living independently with the necessary support system, while also providing resources to those who are not yet ready to be on their own but are working towards that goal.
