HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (TENNESSEE VALLEY LIVING) - North Alabama is mourning a heavy loss on the local entertainment scene. Dave Gallaher, better known as Microwave Dave, passed away on February 6, 2026.

Over the decades, he had become a staple performer, bringing his talents to stages across Huntsville and the surrounding areas.

Following the news of his death, an outpouring of condolences and tributes continues to come in from City of Huntsville officials, arts organizations, other local musicians, and his fans.

Microwave Dave was no stranger to Tennessee Valley Living. He had made an appearance on the show in September of 2025 to promote an event and performed live in the studio.
