Bank Independent launches 2026 Food and Family Share Drive to support local families

Bank Independent talks Food & Family Share Drive happening in April & UNA collaboration

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (TENNESSEE VALLEY LIVING) - In a time when rising costs are stretching household budgets thinner than ever, a North Alabama tradition is stepping up once again.

Bank Independent is launching its 2026 Food and Family Share Drive on April 6, continuing a twelve-year effort that has grown from a simple food collection into a broader mission. By adding diapers alongside non-perishable food items, the initiative reflects a deeper understanding of the everyday challenges many families are facing.

This year, the impact is expanding further with a spotlight on Tiny Cubs at the University of North Alabama, a program dedicated to supporting families with young children. Bank Independent is marking this partnership with a $5,000 donation, reinforcing their commitment to organizations making a difference on the ground.

Community members are encouraged to contribute by donating food, diapers, or funds to any Bank Independent location beginning now through April 24.
