Inspiring inclusivity: How ‘Gone For Good’ is shredding files and spreading work opportunities

Gone For Good talks creating inclusive workplace experiences in The Valley

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (TENNESSEE VALLEY LIVING) - What started as a business in Birmingham offering secure document shredding services has grown into an operation serving a more meaningful purpose.

CEO of Gone For Good Huntsville and Stored for Good, Abe Bernstein, stopped by the studio to share more about the business’s growth and continued mission.

Gone For Good began in 2006 as a way to properly dispose of documents containing sensitive information. Fast-forward 20 years, and the business now offers e-waste recycling, scheduled pick-up services, on-site shredding, storage, and more services to help businesses and individuals.

What’s even more noteworthy about Gone For Good is that it fosters an inclusive workplace where people with and without disabilities work side by side to bring the mission to life. The work model shows that meaningful work matters to everyone, regardless of limitations.

Gone For Good has now expanded to Huntsville, creating more job opportunities for our local community of those with disabilities.
