HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (TENNESSEE VALLEY LIVING) - There’s a group of students who are off to the races as their Greenpower Racing Team blazes its own path to success!
What started as just a class at Challenger Middle School to introduce kids to engineering and other STEM principles has now grown into students designing, building, and racing their own electric-powered vehicles. Now they’ve steered their way into a Greenpower National Championship appearance.
TVL Host Payton Walker had a chance to catch up with the team ahead of their trip to Talladega, where the championship is happening on Saturday, May 16, at the Superspeedway.
The Greenpower team’s leaders say that having this team not only active on campus but performing very well keeps students engaged and striving to continue the success!
