HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (TENNESSEE VALLEY LIVING) - Get ready to kick off the summer and prepare for the upcoming school year at the After School Bash on Saturday, June 6, from 4 PM to 8 PM at Big Spring Park.
HPD Captain Ricky Stephens and Free 2 Teach CEO Alison Kling stopped by the studio to share more details about the event and play a fun trivia game to put their knowledge to the test!
The free community event will feature a concert, family-friendly activities, opportunities to meet local officers and community partners, and more. Free parking will be available at the 100 Church Street Parking Garage.
The event will also include the “Pack Our Patrol Cars” school supply drive. Community members are encouraged to bring school supply donations, which will go to Free 2 Teach to support teachers and classrooms across local school systems.
Organizers say the event brings families, students, educators, and law enforcement together while helping students start the new school year with the supplies they need.
