HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (TENNESSEE VALLEY LIVING) - I scream. You scream. We all scream for Big Spoon Creamery!
The Alabama-based shop has taken home the award for best ice cream in the state thanks to digital media company Tasting Table, and locals are once again lining the streets to try out the latest scoop.
“Unlike most ice cream shops, we make everything from scratch,” says Big Spoon Creamery Owner Ryan O’Hara. “We work with a lot of local farmers for our dairy, for our produce... It’s a big labor of love.”
With scoops like Salted Honey Blackberry, Passionfruit Mascarpone and Strawberry Rhubarb Cobbler, this one-of-a-kind shop offers flavors you likely haven’t had before.
“A frequent staple we do every summer is Peach Buttermilk,” says O’Hara. “That’s a great summer one.”
