MADISON, Ala. (TENNESSEE VALLEY LIVING) - The Miracle League is a national organization with more than 350 leagues across the country, giving children and adults with disabilities the chance to experience the joy of playing baseball.
Miracle League of Madison Fundraising Chair Meredith Broadfoot and Special Needs Program Coordinator with the City of Madison Parks and Recreation Department, Marisa Estrada, stopped by the studio to share more about how that vision is taking shape in their own city.
They shared more about the mission to build a fully accessible Miracle League field and inclusive playground at Palmer Park, in partnership with Madison Visionary Partners — creating a space where everyone truly belongs.
Guided by the motto “Joy on Every Base,” the effort aims to make sports, recreation, and community accessible for people of all abilities.
Several fundraising events are coming up soon, including Make a Splash for Miracle League of Madison on July 3 at Dublin Park.

Other events to look forward to are Taste of Madison and the Ride, Roll & Rally Community Celebration, which will also help turn that vision into reality while bringing the entire community together in support of inclusion.
The group aims to be ready to batter up by Spring 2028.
