HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (TENNESSEE VALLEY LIVING) - The Maitland Conservatory is expanding its reach in the Rocket City to help guide creatives of all ages and backgrounds to learn new skills that can translate to real-life careers.
The man behind the mission, Mario Maitland, shared more about his ongoing goal to make innovative, industry-driven education accessible to the community.
From music production to video editing to sound engineering and more, teens and adults in the area can explore fields of interest and get certified in skills that can help them land real-world jobs through hands-on experience!
One way for teens to get hands-on experience is to participate in the annual Dream Camp, which gives participants two weeks to deep-dive into skills from two tracks: visual content creation & music production. They receive personal guidance and advice from actual experts in the field.
2026 Dream Camp participants Valeria and Alexander say the experience has helped them sharpen their skills and given them a better grasp of the professional route they want to take once they graduate high school.
