HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (TENNESSEE VALLEY LIVING) - It takes a village! This Sunday, organizers hope Huntsville’s Parents Day event will raise awareness about perinatal mental health and postpartum support.

It’s taking place at Huntsville Independent Cinema, Studio 150 at Lowe Mill, and it will feature a screening of the documentary Holding Mother. There will also be a panel discussion covering postpartum support, emotional wellness, and strengthening families within the community.

Organizers say every guest will be gifted a voucher for a mocktail from Ravenwood Meadery, a free book voucher from Rhea Lanas, tea from Piper and Leaf, and more.

Little ones will even have a space to explore, play, and create while their parents remain nearby.

A suggested donation of $10 to $20 per person or essential baby items is requested but not required to attend. Those donations would support Grow Our Village’s Lending Library for new and expectant parents in the community.
