HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (TENNESSEE VALLEY LIVING) - Your favorite barbecue dish may once have been considered ‘too political’.
Professor Mark A. Johnson, with The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, joined Tennessee Valley Living to break it all down. He says, in the 1820s, a group of reformers wanted to eliminate the southern staple because politicians used it to entice voters.
