HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (TENNESSEE VALLEY LIVING) - Music can speak into the depths of the heart and spirit that words alone can’t reach.
In this edition of ‘Sounds of the Valley’, local singer-songwriter Victoria Jones shares her journey through the local music scene, from falling in love with music as a child at church to pursuing that passion as an adult.
“As the years went by, I was really grateful to Huntsville just being a place where you can really grow your gift, it’s just been a journey.”
— Victoria Jones
Jones’ latest EP, “Human Nature,” takes a deep dive into what it means to truly live life, embracing every high, learning from the lows, and everything in between. Grammy Award-winning music producer Kelvin Wooten played a major role in bringing the project to life with Jones.
“I feel like this project is the best representation of who I’ve always been.”
— Victoria Jones
Jones performed her two original songs off the EP, “For Crying Out Loud” and “Little Rock.”
“I believe that it’s in our nature to contend with ourselves.
But, I also think it’s in our nature to find refuge and love and to dream."
