NEW HOPE, Ala. (TENNESSEE VALLEY LIVING) - Local author Deseree Marini is getting ready to release her book, called ‘Pushin’ Up Daisies’.
It follows a young woman grieving the unexpected death of her mother. Then, she finds herself in a new town uncovering clues and meeting people from her mother’s past, all while trying to avoid the spark that forms between her and a handsome cowboy.
Deseree joined Tennessee Valley Living to talk about how the book was heavily influenced by her own life, and the loss of her own mother just a few years ago. She hopes readers take away the message of pushing through grief and hard circumstances, even when you feel like you don’t have the strength.
