HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (TENNESSEE VALLEY LIVING) - Dating today can be complicated, with apps, social media, and “situationships” making genuine connections harder to find. One local certified matchmaker is changing that by helping singles find meaningful love through a confidential, faith-based matchmaking service.
Grace Crawford of Beloved Matchmaking Services stopped by the studio to share more about what to keep in mind as you walk into your next first date, and how you can make the experience more meaningful.
Some of her tips for getting the most out of the first date and having a more intentional dating experience overall include:
- Leave the date and ask, “Am I curious to know more?”
- Be patient in allowing attraction to develop
- Enact a three-date minimum:
- 1st date = meet as strangers
- 2nd date = meet as acquaintances
- 3rd date = meet as friends
- Know what you want to learn about your date and what you want to share with them about yourself.
- Look for shared values
- Reframe common questions to initiate deeper conversations
Beloved Matchmaking Services will be in action soon at Toyota Field. You can head to the ballpark not just to support the Trash Pandas on Friday, September 4, but also to get in on Speed Dating hosted by Beloved Matchmaking Services!
